Ballard Locks

After Remlinger Farm, we headed up to Ballard to see the locks between the Puget Sound and Lake Union. They loaded all the boats in, tied them up, and fourteen hours later raised the water level up high. It was raining and we got cold and bored, so we didn't actually stick around until the boats unloaded into the lake. But it was still fun to see some of it! They had gardens around, which were so gorgeous. We can't wait until it's warmer and we can go back and look around the whole place. Also, we'll go back to Ballard where apparently there is a lot of good food. I guess we missed the memo on that one!
